"Let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works"
Historic buildings are packed with amazing architectural features, but can be tricky to light. By working with Lumenata our customers have the benefit of our complete lighting expertise at each stage of their project.
The process starts with lighting design. Once we have understood the types of lighting products that are acceptable to you, we use our lighting design software to carefully plan the layout of the lights to provide the required light levels where needed and bring out the architectural features of your building.
We will review and modify the scheme as many times as needed to optimise the design in terms of functionality, budget and aesthetics.
Once the scheme is agreed, we will produce a document that will give all the information necessary to apply for approval from the relevant authorities.
When your scheme has been approved, we will procure the lights for you. We only source top quality lighting products that offer the best value for money on the market.
At the installation process we can either manage the installation of our products or work with your preferred installer to assure stress free installation of your new lighting.
When your project is complete, we will always be on hand to help you as required.
Penrith Methodist Church
When Penrith Methodist Church, a grade II listed church built in 1873, was in need of a lighting upgrade, Lumenata was called in to design, supply and install the lighting needed for the upgrade. LED lighting to highlight architectural features and bespoke decorative chandeliers were proposed along with a lighting control system to replace the existing obsolete system without the need for rewiring were all proposed to the DAC for approval. Once approved, Lumenata handled the installation of the lighting, giving a complete designed, supplied and installed lighting upgrade.
Gareth Cozens, who oversaw the project on behalf of the church, said ‘Having visited a one of Lumenata’s church lighting installations locally, we were confident they would provide everything we needed for our lighting upgrade. Following consultations with Lumenata, the preferred proposal was approved by the Church’s Listing Building Advisory Committee that allowed the project to begin. The supply and installation of the lighting was faultless. The completed scheme has been very well received by all users of the church and visitors and dealing with Lumenata has ensured a successful outcome’.
