Lumenata Supports Homelessness Charity

Caritas Anchor House, a homelessness charity based in the London Borough of Newham, is a beacon of hope in the community and helps over 200 people a year turn their lives around. Lumenata has recently donated the lighting required for the refurbishment of the lounge and social space.

Niamh McCann, who was the project manager said “Thank you so much to Lumenata for your contribution to the recently completed lounge refurbishment at the homelessness charity, Caritas Anchor House.  The 169 square metre room forms the lounge and social space for the 140 people who call Caritas Anchor House home.  The lighting has transformed the space into a bright and welcoming environment for all to enjoy. You should feel really proud of what you have helped to achieve.”

Lighting is such an important element in our lives that it cannot be left to chance. When lighting is designed and executed well, it helps us to relax at home, lighting helps us be more productive at work, it helps to sell our products and can even benefit our health.

At Lumenata we provide complete lighting expertise, allowing our clients to rest assured that their lighting needs are being well managed and taken care of.

Our team of designers assemble stunning and breath taking lighting designs using modern, cutting edge products sourced from around the globe by our product sourcing experts.

And our technical experts are on hand to help with the installation process, assuring its smooth running, or fully managing the installation process if required.

By working with Lumenata you can relax in the knowledge that all your lighting needs are being well taken care of, assuring the smooth progression of your project and benefit from complete lighting expertise, from start to finish.

Our team of trained lighting designers are often the first step of our customers’ journey. Once briefed, they are charged with putting together creative and inspirational designs that take on board the needs and desires of our clients and more often than not surpassing these.

As Lumenata is an independent supplier of lights, we are not restricted by a range. We search the globe for the most innovative, cutting edge lighting products to use on our clients’ schemes.

With the ongoing development of LED as a light source and the emergence of SMART lighting, lighting technology has become more complicated at the design, procurement and installation stages of the process.
Lumenata can help you avoid costly mistakes by reviewing the lighting installation techniques with your installer before work commences on site.
It is our belief that an hour or two spent prior to work commencing can save a lot of time and heartache once installation begins.

At Lumenata we are happy to work with you long after your project has been completed.
So whether you are in need of a spare part, a replacement LED bulb or are ready to embark on your next major refurbishment project, you can rely on Lumenata to continue to guide you on your journey to lighting excellence.

Recent Church Project - Lancashire

We love designing the lighting for historic buildings such as churches. These old buildings are packed with architectural features that are made to look so much greater with the careful placement of special, high output, highly efficient LED lighting.
This recent church project is no exception. The church is lit almost exclusively with 20w and 31w LED spotlights, with the 31w spotlights providing a blanket of practical light levels enabling for the congregation to read effectively and the 20w spotlights being used to bring out the architectural features of the building.
These LED spotlights all dim beautifully well and are controlled through a tablet or smart phone enabling different settings to be selected with the lights for different stages of the service.

While the principles of lighting design apply to all applications and projects, Lumenata excels in the following sectors

Is there a more important building to us than our home? Or a more versatile building that performs such a variety of different functions?
Cooking, eating, working, relaxing are just a few of the things we do in our homes and the lighting should allow us to perform all the activities in our homes that we want to do.
So we urge our residential customers to avoid bland, even, thoughtless lighting by engaging with the residential lighting experts at Lumenata.

Our expertise working on historic buildings such as churches and museums is unsurpassed. Our aim is to use lighting design to emphasise the architectural features of these glorious buildings, while at the same time providing functional levels of light where needed. This is achieved by using cost effective, energy efficient LED lighting products and technologies, effortlessly controlled with modern lighting controls with fully compatible, dimmable LED lighting.

Effective lighting can benefit your workplace in so many ways. It can make your staff more productive. It can make your products more desirable and increase sales. It can make your bar or restaurant more appealing to your customers.

As complete lighting experts we are able to go beyond the capabilities of many of our contemporaries, employing the latest in science and technology to provide the best lighting design solution possible for our commercial customers, considering energy efficiency, budget and aesthetics among others.

Since the first men walked the earth, the human brain has been tuned to the intensity and colour of natural sunlight.

But for many years, artificial lighting has been static in terms of intensity and colour, which is contrary to what the human body anticipates.

LED lighting can be carefully controlled to match the intensity and colour of natural daylight and studies have shown that this can benefit the well being of mental health patients as well as improving workforce productivity and student attention span.

Lumenata is committed to being at the forefront of making this life changing lighting technology affordable.

Architects, Interior Designers and Design Consultants work with us because we make their projects better. Our extensive lighting product knowledge, coupled with our creative, innovative, design flair enable our specification customer base to enhance their schemes through our professional lighting designs.
We search the globe for innovative, well designed lighting products that we use in our lighting designs to great effect, providing the best schemes possible for our design led clients.

Electrical Contractors, Building Contractors, Home Automation Specialists and Commercial Fit Out Specialists use Lumenata Lighting Design to design schemes that use practical, easy to install, robust lighting products. Simple, but effective components like screwless connectors and plug and socket quick fit connectors can be incorporated into the products we specify to cut down installation times on site that both speeds up project completion times and reduces costs on projects.

Clients who use our lighting on their own properties do so because we search the globe for products that offer the latest lighting technology and robust construction at realistic price points. As an independent lighting design consultancy, we have an infinite source of lighting products and are able to specify products on our schemes that tick all our customers’ boxes.
Through our extensive manufacturing base, we can arrange for bespoke lighting products to be made if they are not commercially available.

Linear Suspended LED Profiles.

Linear LED profile lights are becoming increasingly popular in office environments, especially in converted old buildings because of their slick designs. But these lights are often packed with features and offer much more than striking looks. For example,

  • Louvred lights such as the ones shown provide anti glare features.

  • These lights can incorporate presence detectors for enhanced saving energy in low occupancy areas.

  • Biodynamic (or human centric) lighting controls can be incorprated in tunable white versions of these lights to mimic the colour and intensity of natural daylight and bring subsequent health benefits.

  • Microprismatic diffusers can be provided for a softer light if needed.

It's no wonder therefore that this type of lighting is being increasingly used in office and education applications. For more information on how these modern lights can be incorporated into your scheme, please feel free to contact us.
